We were honoured to attend the annual meeting of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) in Paris last week. This meeting is one of the largest fertility conferences in the calendar and brings together people from across the world.
We were there with our fellow patient charities from across Europe as part of Fertility Europe. We had our annual patient charity meeting at ESHRE which is always a great opportunity to listen and learn from others working in different countries. We are very proud to be part of Fertility Europe, representing the UK, and are endlessly inspired by our friends across Europe.
We really enjoyed our time at ESHRE, and learnt so much from talks on a huge variety of subjects and a particular highlight for us was the patient session organised by Fertility Europe. Mariana Martins and Irina Popova spoke about the FActs education project, and a deeply moving presentation from Beate Mühlroth on her experience of fertility issues as a young woman.
It was good to catch up with our Chair Dr Tim Child and Board member Angela Pericleous-Smith, (who won an award for the best fertility psychologist and counsellor – congratulations Angela!) along with our Advisory Board members Francesca Steyn and Dr Rachel Gregoire.
