Gwenda Burns (Chief Executive)
Gwenda has worked in leadership roles supporting fertility patients across the UK for 15 years.
Gwenda has represented fertility patients on many forums in all four nations and in Europe including The National Fertility Group, former CCG groups, health working groups, government, British Fertility Society and Fertility Europe.
Gwenda is passionate about fair and equitable fertility provision being available throughout the UK. From 2010, Gwenda was a member of The National Fertility Group in Scotland which was pivotal in bringing an equitable service of provision, offering up to three cycles of treatment which is in line with the NICE fertility guidelines.
Gwenda is dedicated to seeing positive change for fertility patients in the future.
Kate Brian
Kate is an author and journalist who has been working in the fertility sector for more than 25 years. Kate is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists where she was the first Women’s Voices Lead.
Kate was a lay member of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority where she chaired the Licence Committee and continued to work with the Authority as a member of the Scientific and Clinical Advances Advisory Committee. Kate is a member of the NICE fertility guideline update group and also sat on the previous NICE fertility guideline development group.
Kate has written five books about fertility, IVF treatment and pregnancy, and presented two Radio Four documentaries about donor treatment.
