We’ve been asked recently whether we could offer a separate group for people who are starting to think about stopping treatment – and so we’re going to be offering just that.
It can be a difficult subject. There’s often a reluctance to address what happens if treatment doesn’t work, but we feel it’s vital there’s more support for people at such a difficult and challenging time.
Kelly will be launching the new service with a session talking about her own experiences, what she learnt from this and about the community she set up to help those who were childless not by choice on the evening of June 17. There will be time for questions and discussion -more details will follow, but put the date in your diary.
You don’t have to have already decided you are not carrying on with treatment to attend – the session is open to everyone who wants to know more about this.
We’ve known Kelly for some time and we have seen at first hand what a fantastic advocate she is, and her kindness, empathy and understanding for those facing difficult decisions.
