The London Fertility Forum

What a fantastic evening at the London Fertility Forum last night organised by Bassel Wattar and raising funds for the Fertility Alliance.

We heard from so many brilliant speakers and learnt so much. Rima Dhillon-Smith opened the evening, talking about the latest research into preventing miscarriage. Ali Abbara gave a really insightful talk about obesity, explaining that our tendency towards being overweight is largely governed by genetics, and discussing how different weight loss strategies might help those impacted by fertility issues. Bassel Wattar himself spoke about fertility add-ons and his work looking at whether any of them can offer anything meaningful to fertility patients. This was followed by Kelly Da Silva from The Fertility Alliance team who gave a really moving presentation on what happens when fertility treatment doesn’t work. Abraham Zavala spoke about new treatments for those with low ovarian reserve, and the evening concluded with an update on how the Fertility Alliance can help people affected by fertility issues.

It was great to catch up with everyone including Ciaran from our partners at NeXYs Fertility and Lauren and David from @thebabymakingbusiness and to meet so many people doing innovative work in the fertility sector.

Thanks to Bassel for organising such a fabulous evening.
