First baby born in UK after successful womb transplant

In a world where we seem to be drowning in gloomy news, how wonderful to hear good news of the first baby in the UK born after a womb transplant.

The baby’s mother, Grace Davidson, was born without a womb due to MRKH syndrome, but her sister donated her womb in 2023.

Now, Grace has given birth to a daughter Amy – a truly remarkable story which offers new hope to others facing similar fertility issues.

Amy’s landmark birth marks just the beginning with more transplants underway and planned as part of a clinical trial funded by Womb Transplant UK.

As science continues to advance, we celebrate this new chapter for fertility patients and welcome baby Amy! 💜
